I’m not sure why Chicago’s 87 degrees in mid-March, and I’m certainly not going to complain. All I know is that it’s hard to stay inside cleaning when it feels like summer. Yesterday I compromised by biking to Hungarian for my first round of Pesach shopping. I only had an hour, and by the time I wandered through the store, I had to book it to get back home. Now, I’ve heard that in spin classes, the instructor simulates outdoor conditions, saying things like, “We’re reaching a hill, shift your bikes up to 6.” I couldn’t help but think as I was pedaling uphill with a trailer full of $300 of groceries, in the sun, against the wind and in a sheitel: Shift it up to 10, ladies.

By the time I got home, there was nothing I could imagine eating for lunch other than a smoothie. And as long as it feels like Florida around here, might as well make it tropical.

2 bananas
large scoop of plain yogurt
1 cup coconut milk
