Today’s one of those days when we Chicagoans wonder what in the world we are doing here. It’s the kind of day when we don’t stop drinking tea and prepare a hot drink for the kids after school.


This recipe is modeled after the Starbucks milk steamer. My kids discovered it yesterday, and it was heavenly. That is, if someone else is paying. Did I mention I have four kids?


4 cups warmed milk (in a pot or in the microwave for 2 minutes)
1T vanilla
2T real maple syrup
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for 3o seconds, until top is frothy. Drink immediately.
