If the dairy meals on Shavuot scare you, let me make this simple. Start with butter, add some veggies, salt, pepper and a bit of lemon, cook them until they are just cooked and voila! You’ve got the best tasting food in town. If you need a bit more specific recipes, here’s a few. You won’t find dessert here, though. Because what’s Shavuot without ice cream?

Yogurt bar and pancakes

Pancakes with frozen berries

French onion soup

Asian veggie burgers

Salmon cakes

Best pizza I’ve ever eaten

Roasted whole wheat pizza and asparagus shavings

Taco Salad

Build your own taco salad

Indian buffet

Fish tacos

Better pasta in minutes

Pasta topped with sauted chard, fresh tomatoes, roasted pine nuts and feta.

Stir fry

Polenta, your way

Polenta with roasted asparagus

Cheesy steak fries
