Anyone with a sweet tooth (read: women) knows it’s hard to control. That’s because sugar is addictive and the food scientists employed by companies stocking our shelves know it
Whether you’re reining in your sweet tooth or not, these apples are divine. Kids and adults alike end up licking the bowl. We make them for Shabbos dessert by putting them in the oven 45 minutes before Shabbos, turning the oven off at lighting and leaving them inside until dessert. In case of sweet craving emergencies, stick them in the microwave for 3-5 minutes instead.
The best part? There’s not even a recipe. Poke some holes in whole apples (one per person) and bake them in the oven at 350 degrees until they are mushy (about 40 minutes). Add cinnamon on top and serve.
What about adding raisins to a hole in the middle? That was your idea!
